Note 1 Appoint a Clearing Agent who is certified by BURS to have access to the Asycuda Customs System Note 2 The Asycuda Customs System generates the SAD 500 Declaration indicating the various Duties, and Taxes to be paid and a Customs Clearance Reference Number created. Note 3 The SAD 500 along with the supporting documentation and Customs Reference Number is then presented to the Customs Officer at the relevant Customs Office for assessment and production of the various assessment notices (risk management) Note 4 The amounts indicated on the various assessment notices have then to be paid (either cash or account or EFT) before the goods can be released. NOT FEES – DUTIES, VAT etc
